Named after former PSU professor David Bowen, who was instrumental in helping the university attain its independence, this hall was completed in 1956. It underwent a complete renovation in 2009. Bowen Hall's location, on the north side of campus, is just steps away from the university's Axe Library, the Axe Grind coffee shop, featuring Starbucks coffee, and Carnie Smith Stadium.
